Incorporated in 2002, we are a family owned and independently operated business backed by our national A-1 Concrete Leveling franchise partners. Since 2002, we have grown consistently, year over year, to become the “go to” source for Concrete Raising, Leveling and Foundation Repair in Northern Illinois. See our Service area map.

- Grover Miller, a master mechanic and inventor, developed the first of our self-contained concrete leveling units in 1980. Mr. Miller improved on his design over the next 10 years, while building his business and his reputation through word of mouth.
- Jim Creed, met Mr. Miller and was introduced to the concrete leveling process. Mr. Creed recognized the potential of the operation and began aggressively marketing the A-1 Concrete Leveling process in Northeast Ohio in 1992.
- John Rasnick, joined the A-1 Team and brought the concept of national franchising to the A-1 Corporation in 1994.
- Since 1994, A-1 Concrete Leveling has grown from a small, independent start-up to become America’s Largest Concrete Leveler with over 40 franchises throughout the United States. Our patented technology and proven system have benefited not only from the expertise of Mr. Miller, but also from the family owned and independently operated franchises. As a result of our continuing research and development, A-1 has expanded its focus offering structural repair and reinforcement, chimney realignment and straightening of bowed walls in addition to the concrete leveling work which is the foundation of our success.
